There’s something sacred about slowing down.
About walking outside early in the morning, gathering herbs by hand, and creating something with intention instead of rushing to keep up with trends.
That’s how Natural Family Botanicals began.
Nestled in a pine meadow in Southern Oregon near the beautiful Siskiyou Mountain range, Natural Family Botanicals grew from my lifelong love of herbal wisdom, natural healing, and simple living.
Long before I started this business in 2002, I had already spent over 20 years studying the traditional use of herbs, natural wellness, and herbal healing. Herbs and natural living were simply part of everyday life for me long before “clean beauty” became popular.
As a young mother, I became increasingly frustrated by the lack of truly chemical-free and paraben-free skincare available at the time. I wanted safer, more natural products for my family and began creating my own herbal skincare using the knowledge I had gathered over decades.
My first product was made for a friend’s child who was struggling with severe eczema. I created what became our beloved Skin Therapy Cream using emu oil and healing herbs, and the results were incredible. Seeing his skin improve so quickly was the moment that inspired me to continue formulating...and Natural Family Botanicals was born.
What started as one handcrafted cream has now grown into a full line of more than 35 handmade skincare products created for dry, sensitive, mature, and problem-prone skin.
Handmade in Southern Oregon
Every product is still handmade in-house in small batches in Merlin, Oregon.
My husband helps harvest many of the herbs we grow ourselves, and we also wild harvest locally whenever possible. The slower pace of Southern Oregon, the connection to the land, and my respect for God’s creation all shape the way these products are made.
Our formulas are crafted with organic herbs, botanical oils, plant butters, clays, and carefully chosen ingredients to support dry skin, mature skin, sensitive skin, eczema-prone skin, and gentle skincare needs for the whole family.
From Evening Primrose Cream and Daily Facial Moisturizer to Comfrey Calendula Healing Balm and organic soaps, every product is created with simplicity, care, and effectiveness in mind.

Although I’m largely self-taught through decades of herbal study and hands-on formulation experience, I’ve also completed professional certifications through Formula Botanica in Organic Skincare Formulation and Natural Product Preservation.
My faith is also an important part of this business. I have dedicated Natural Family Botanicals to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and through every season, my faith has continued to guide and sustain me.
To me, this business is more than skincare.
It’s service.
It’s stewardship.
It’s care created with heart.
