Our Story

As a young mother, I couldn’t find simple skincare without the harsh and unnecessary ingredients I wanted to avoid, so I used what I had learned through years of herbal study to begin making my own.

My first cream was created for a friend’s young child with extremely dry, troubled skin. Seeing the comfort and relief it provided inspired me to keep formulating, and Natural Family Botanicals was born.

As a midwife, caring for women and families has been at the heart of my life for decades. That same desire to nurture and serve others continues to guide every skincare product I create.

Still Handmade, Still Small

Every product is handcrafted in small batches in Merlin, Oregon, using organic and wild-harvested herbs, many grown right here on our property with help from my husband during each seasonal harvest.

Reducing, reusing, and recycling have been a way of life for us since long before they became buzzwords. Whenever possible, we reuse clean shipping materials collected from other local businesses, giving them another purpose while reducing unnecessary waste.

Today, the collection includes more than 35 skincare products created especially for dry, sensitive, mature, and problem-prone skin. Each formula is still carefully made, tested, and refined with the same thoughtfulness as my very first cream.
